The 22X44 Plus features Jet's "SandSmart" control that continually monitors the load on the drum motor and automatically regulates the speed of the conveyor motor to maintain the highest feed rate without overload. If the load on the drum motor increases, the SandSmart control will decrease the conveyor feed rate and will stop the conveyor under extreme conditions.

If the load on the drum decreases, SandSmart will increase it faster than the manual setting on the speed adjustment label. This feature works in conjunction with a red indicator light that goes on when the SandSmart control has detected too great a depth of cut and/or too fast a speed rate.

High Capacity for Improved Productivity
The 22X44 Plus flawlessly sands pieces of stock with a 44-inch width in just two passes, whether you're at the maximum workpiece thickness of four inches or the thinnest, which is 1/32 inch. For added convenience, operation is smooth, quiet, and vibration-free.

"Trackers" and Self-Cooling Drum for Consistent Performance
Jet's patented conveyor belt "trackers" dramatically reduce the need for manual belt adjustments, while the precision-machined, balanced, extruded aluminum drum self-cools to protect the surface being sanded from heat damage.

Boasting quality construction and materials from top to bottom, the 22X44 Plus is built to last. Sealed and permanently lubricated drum ball bearings ensure longer life, while the precision-flattened, reinforced steel conveyor belt and no-give power feed belt provide a flat, durable sanding surface for better results, job after job.

Cast-Iron Handwheel and Adjustable Drum Height for Precision
To ensure precision, the cast-iron handwheel adjusts height at 1/16 inch per turn for sanding thickness control and precise stock removal, and the drum height and downward pressure are both adjustable to virtually eliminate snipe. And to prevent slippage, zinc-plated steel tension rollers mount right next to the drum.
